Swinging into action for charity
We are thrilled to reveal that our recent Catermasters Charity Golf Day raised a massive £15,000 for The Myton Hospices charity.
The Myton Hospices is a group of three hospices that each provide specialist palliative care for terminally ill patients in Coventry and Warwickshire.
We welcomed 88 of our clients and suppliers who all enjoyed a fierce battle on the golf course, before enthusiastically supporting various other fundraising initiatives on the day including an auction and a raffle.
This year's impressive fundraising effort means we have now raised in excess of £65,000 for The Myton Hospices – the fourth highest amount ever achieved by a business in Warwickshire.
Rosie Houghton, The Myton Hospices corporate fundraising support officer, said: "We're delighted with the incredible support that Catermasters and its clients has shown us at this year's annual golf day.
"We cannot thank them enough for putting so much time and work into arranging such a fantastic event and raising such a phenomenal amount each year.
"We help more than 2,000 terminally ill patients and their families every year and wouldn't be able to continue without support like this.”
Nigel Johnson, joint managing director of Catermasters, said: "Our charity golf day is a real highlight of our year and brings together lots of generous and passionate people that all want to help a really good cause.
"We are all acutely aware how valuable a sum like £15,000 is to a charity like The Myton Hospices when it comes to meeting its annual fundraising targets and we're thrilled that we can help and hopefully make a difference at such a valuable local charity."
