Company raises an impressive sum for Myton Hospice after hosting golf day

Customers, suppliers and employees affiliated to Catermasters, a leading supplier of fresh and innovative contract catering solutions, helped raise £2,750 for the Myton Hospice charity after putting their skills to the test at a charity golf day on June 26.

The event was staged at the Warwickshire Golf Club and the donation will be used to sustain the excellent quality of care that is provided for residents at each of the Myton Hospice residential care homes that are situated close to the Catermasters headquarters in Leamington Spa. Myton Hospice aims to provide specialist palliative care of the highest quality for adult patients with progressive life limiting illness.

Spokesman David Wooten said: "We are really grateful to Catermasters for organising such a successful golf day on our behalf and to raise £2,750 is a great effort and the money will make a real difference to our patients."

"Myton provides more than 10,000 days of care every year and we need to raise more than £3 million to maintain that service free of charge. The generosity of local businesses such as Catermasters is hugely important to us and we would like to thank Nigel, Richard, Mandy and the team for their support."

Nigel Johnson, joint Managing Director of Catermasters, said: "Everyone that took part in the golf day had a super time and I’m extremely proud that we have managed to raise such an impressive sum of money for a very worthy charity. We know our friends at Myton Hospice will put this money to good use and we look forward to helping out again in the future."

Catermasters, which lists the Music Alliance, Williams F1 team and Oxfam on its list of satisfied clients, is also a strong supporter of the 'One Water' charity and sells its bottled water through the vast majority of its catering outlets.
